WASHINGTON — White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper was hospitalized Monday night with diverticulitis and will miss tonight’s game against the Washington Nationals.
Bullpen coach Bobby Thigpen will move to the dugout to fill Cooper’s role. Mark Salas will be in charge of the bullpen.
Cooper is day-to-day.
