The Cubs informed season-ticket holders on Tuesday that they will reduce the price of some tickets. A team spokesman said it’ll be about a 2 percent drop overall on 30 percent of the seats.

The biggest reduction will be in the bleachers, where for a second consecutive season the cost will drop by at least 10 percent. Under the team’s dynamic pricing model for 2013, the most inexpensive bleacher seat for low-demand games will be $19, going up to $69 for high-demand games. The upper deck box and upper deck reserved seats will also be reduced.

Also, season-ticket holders will pay $1-to-$2 less than single-ticket holders in the same seating area.

Cubs attendance was 2.88 million in 2012, down from a high of 3.3 million four years ago.
