Print it: Ron Santo’s legacy available in artwork

On July 22, Ron Santo will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, an honor many Cubs fans wish he were alive to savor.
To celebrate his achievement, the Santo family selected artist John Hanley to create a colorful 16-by-20-inch commemorative lithograph that they say captures Santo’s spirit.
Ten percent of the proceeds from each print will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
‘‘My dad . . . would be really happy to see this painting and even more thrilled to know it is going to help fight Type 1 childhood diabetes,’’ Ron Santo Jr. said in a statement.
