Catcher Geo Soto is expected to be sidelined three to four weeks after suffering a meniscus tear in his left knee, possibly during pregame work Thursday.
He was to undergo arthroscopic surgery late Friday or Saturday to clean out the knee.
Class AAA catcher Blake Lalli was called up from Iowa Friday, technically taking pitcher Chris Volstad’s roster spot.
