At the plate: Despite five more errors in the field, the Cubs’ bats were productive again. Starlin Castro homered off Yovani Gallardo in the first, Carlos Pena singled through the right-side defensive shift for his first hit of the spring and Alfonso Soriano is off to a 5-for-9 start after homering in the sixth.
On the mound: Carlos Silva set the tone on and off the mound after giving up two homers in a six-run, three-error first inning.
