PHOENIX — A day after leaving the Cubs’ television booth, former Arizona Diamondbacks manager Bob Brenly
rejoined the team as a TV analyst Thursday.
Brenly replaced former Cubs first baseman Mark Grace, who left voluntarily in August after his second drunken-driving arrest in 15 months.
Brenly, 58, managed the Diamondbacks to the 2001 World Series title. He was a broadcaster for them from 1998 to 2000 and served as their manager from 2001 to 2004.
He spent the last eight seasons as a broadcaster for the Cubs, working as their TV analyst opposite play-by-play man Len Kasper.
