The Sky acquired Swin Cash and Le’Coe Willingham and a second-round draft pick from the Seattle Storm on Monday in exchange for the Sky’s No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 WNBA draft.
“I knew the pieces I didn’t want to part with and I liked our core group of players, but the change needs to be with the veteran experience,” Sky coach and general manager Pokey Chatman said.
Cash, a 6-2 forward, averaged 13.2 points and 6.9 rebounds with the Storm last season and won WNBA titles with the Detroit Shock in 2003 and 2006. She is a 10-year WNBA veteran.
Willingham, a 6-0 forward, won titles with the Phoenix Mercury (2009) and the Storm (2010).
