The prospects for the Bliss quarterback job could be up in the air for the 2011 season — in more ways than one.
Among the prospects at the Lingerie Football League’s tryouts Saturday in Bridge-view was Briawna Shultz, whose passing prowess impressed some observers.
She knows something about aerial activities.
The native of Albuquerque, N.M., is a flight attendant.
She also knows something about football and tryouts.
‘‘It’s nerve-racking,’’ she told Quick Hits after making the cut to go to minicamp. ‘‘You don’t know what to expect. I grew up the daughter of a football coach, so I had a premise of maybe how tryouts would go.
‘‘Once we got started, it was natural. It felt good.’’
As for her throwing ability?
‘‘I was a catcher at the University of New Mexico, so I kinda grew up throwing balls,’’ she said.
Even if Shultz had lesser passing skills, she still would have stood out — thanks to a bright green sports top and shorts and black knee-high socks.
She wore the outfit so she would be noticed?
‘‘That’s what this is about, right?’’ she said.
Right on target once again.
