Player hit by coach does not accept apology on national TV (video)

Holy Family College in Philadelphia suspended a men’s basketball coach this week accused of attacking a player at practice in January.

John O’Connor was suspended pending the outcome of an investigation by the university after he was accused of pushing, kicking and injuring sophomore Matt Kravchuk.

The coach and player appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Thursday morning.

After O’Connor apologized to his player (about the 8:30 mark of the video), Kravchuk said he could not accept it.

O’Connor is shown pushing Kravchuk to the ground during a 1-on-1 drill, then kicking him. O’Connor berates his player and tosses him out of the practice.

O’Connor was an assistant coach at Georgia Tech before taking over the Division II program last April.
