CLEVELAND — The White Sox made four roster moves Saturday, putting center fielder and leadoff man Adam Eaton on the 15-day disabled list, transferring right-hander Nate Jones to the 60-day disabled list, recalling left-hander Frank De Los Santos from Class AAA Charlotte and claiming outfielder Moises Sierra off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays.
De Los Santos, 26, who has no major league experience, has pitched eight times this season between AAA Charlotte and Class AA Birmingham, going 1-0 with a 0.63 ERA.
Eaton left Friday’s game against the Cleveland Indians in the fourth inning with a strained left hamstring. He is batting .276 with seven extra-base hits, 14 RBI and 20 runs scored in 25 games.
A career .229 hitter, Sierra, 25, was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays on May 1 after going 2-for-34 with two RBI and two runs scored in 34 games this season. He had a strong September and finished at .290 last season with one homer, a triple and 13 doubles in 35 games.
Jones went on the disabled list April 4 with a lower-back injury.
