Returning a host of players from a team that won 10 games last season appears to have garnered Northwestern attention in the polls. The
Wildcats are ranked 22nd in USA Today’s preseason coaches’ poll, which was released Thursday.
NU is one of five Big Ten teams ranked in the Top 25. Ohio State is ranked second, Michigan 17th, Nebraska 18th and Wisconsin 23rd.
The Wildcats will play each of those teams this season. NU will host Ohio State on Oct. 5 and Michigan on Nov. 16 and will travel to Nebraska on Nov. 2 and Wisconsin on Oct. 12. — Seth Gruen
