Comcast SportsNet Bulls analyst Kendall Gill has been suspended from his on-air duties for the remainder of the season after an altercation in the studio on Tuesday with Big Ten Network analyst Tim Doyle.
“We have made a decision to not have Kendall Gill appear on our air for the remainder of the Bulls season,” CSN said in a statement on Friday. “We will re-evaluate our current position on this matter during the off-season.”
The incident took place after the “Sports Talk Live” show, where Doyle was a guest and spoke critically of Gill’s assessment of the controversial ending to the Bulls-Denver game on Monday.
Gill approached Doyle on his way out of the CSN studio and a fight broke out.
Gill played 15 years in the NBA—one season with the Bulls—after starring at Illinois. Doyle played for Northwestern from 2004 to 2007 before joining the Big Ten Network.
