Injuries continue to haunt DePaul, with the latest involving sophomore Moses Morgan, who was undergoing tests Friday after fainting during practice Thursday.

Morgan, who had a career-best 19 points a night earlier in a loss to St. John’s, was taken by ambulance to a hospital and was all right later, coach Oliver Purnell said.

But he was kept Friday to undergo tests and did not travel with the team to Cincinnati for its game Saturday against the Bearcats
(15-7, 5-4 Big East).

Morgan sent a message on his Twitter account Friday saying he was ‘‘patiently waiting’’ while hospitalized. ‘‘I appreciate everybody that checked up on me to see if I was ok, I really do!’’

‘‘He just fainted,’’ Purnell said. ‘‘He’s OK, but the safe thing to do is keep him out until the [test] results. It’s our anticipation he will be OK, but the medical people feel we have to go through that process, and we totally agree.’’

The Blue Demons (11-10, 2-7) also might be without senior guard Jeremiah Kelly, who missed Wednesday’s game after experiencing left hip discomfort during pregame warmups. He was on crutches Thursday and had X-rays taken.

‘‘We’re hoping he’ll be better. He’s day-to-day. There’s a possibility he’ll be able to go, but we don’t know,’’ Purnell said.

If Kelly can’t play, the team will dress eight scholarship players for the game with two walk-on guards, Edwin McGhee and Joe Belcaster.

‘‘Some other guys will have to hitch up their belts and play more,’’ Purnell said. ‘‘We’ll have to figure it out. That’s why you’re called a team. We have to adjust.’’
