Get ready to detour as exits close

The next phase of the Dan Ryan rip-up starts in early March. Before then, drivers can expect ramp closures at 39th and 47th streets, beginning today, state transportation officials said.
The entrance ramp from 47th Street to the inbound Dan Ryan Expy. will close today, followed by the exit ramp from the outbound Dan Ryan to 47th Street on Feb. 5.
The exit ramp from the inbound Dan Ryan to 39th Street closes Feb. 12. Then on March 1, state crews are expected to close the exit ramp from the inbound Dan Ryan to 39th Street.
