In a bite: Pan-Asian, dumpling, rice and noodle cafe in an unlikely location (call it Avondale or Logan Square North). Fashioned by top chef Bill Kim (Le Lan), this is food to live and love by. It's all very low-key, so don't expect bells and whistles. Order at the counter, pay, take a seat (a chunky wood block) at one of the large wood (there are just four) communal tables. When your food is ready, it comes to you. And then the fun begins. BYOB. Reservations not accepted. Kids might like the noodles, but watch out for the spicy dishes.
