1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard

3/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Puree cherry pie filling in an electric blender or food processor. Set aside. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook, stirring until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
