Doris kemp's accidental apple-blueberry pie

MAKES 1 PIE
Crust:
2 unbaked pie crusts
Filling:
2 cups of blueberries, preferably
fresh, but frozen will work
3 Granny Smith apples, peeled
and thinly sliced
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine the filling ingredients, except for the butter, in a mixing bowl and mix gently with a wooden spoon. Pour the mixture into a 9-inch pie pan lined with pie pastry.
Cut butter over the top of mixture. Cover with a top crust. Crimp edges together to seal. Cut slits into crust to allow steam to escape. Bake for about 45 minutes.
