MAKES ABOUT 120
COOKIES
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup butter 1 cup vegetable oil 1 cup confectioners’ sugar 1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 teaspoon cream of tartar 1 1 teaspoon salt 5 cups flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together margarine, butter and oil. Add remaining ingredients in order listed, mixing after each addition. Form dough into walnut-size balls. Flatten balls using bottom of glass dipped in water, then sugar. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Enjoy with a glass of cold milk.
