MAKES 8 SERVINGS

Nonstick cooking spray

1 tube Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls (8-serving size)

4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted

2 teaspoons sugar

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping:

1/3 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray and set aside.

On a lightly floured surface, separate the dough into 8 portions along perforated lines. On each portion, fold in 2 points of the triangle and roll dough into a rope. Twist rope and stretch to form a 7-inch stick. Place on prepared pan. Repeat with remaining dough.

Combine melted butter or margarine, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla, brush to coat each rope generously with this mixture, turning to coat all sides.

For topping: In a medium bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Roll each rope in topping to coat. Return to baking pan, bake for 8 minutes or until sticks are golden brown.

For best results, serve right from the oven. Sticks may be reheated for a few seconds in the microwave if they are served after they cool.
