MAKES 8 SERVINGS

8 small raw sugar cubes

16 ounces Pineau des Charentes (see Note)

32 ounces chilled Champagne (about 1-1/2 bottles)

Place a sugar cub in each of eight Champagne flutes. Pour 2 ounces of Pineau des Charentes into each glass over the sugar cube. Just before serving, top each glass with Champagne.

Note: Pineau des Charentes can be found at Sam's Wines and Spirits, or substitute Grand Marnier.
