Johnny Gottselig shows the new timepiece at Chicago Stadium in 1943. Gottselig, a defenseman who played almost 600 games for the Blackhawks, was a member of the Hawks’ Stanley Cup teams in 1934 and 1938. He managed the Racine Belles to the first championship of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League and returned to coach the Hawks for three years.
