Ten-shun, ten-shun please.
The Cubs’ Pat Pieper gathers straw hats showered by fans on September 1, 1932. Pieper announced for the team for 59 years, starting each game: “Get your pencils and scorecards ready for the correct lineup.” Right: Cubs pitcher Guy Bush is called out at the plate after being tagged by New York Giants catcher Shanty Hogan on July 15, 1931. This was before the Wrigley Field bleachers were built.
