Funeral Thursday for slain Chicago cop Clifton Lewis

As investigators continue to search for the two men who killed off-duty Chicago police officer Clifton Lewis last week, a funeral service has been announced for the slain policeman.

A wake is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday at United Baptist Church, 4242 W. Roosevelt, with a funeral to follow at 11 a.m., according to Leak & Sons Funeral Homes.

Lewis, 41, was fatally shot Dec. 29 while working a second job as a security guard at M&M Quick Foods at Austin and Division. He had gotten engaged to be married on Christmas day, and was working the job in part to help pay for the wedding.
