The PAWS Chicago Adopt-A-Thon, a 36-hour event held at the PAWS Chicago Adoption & Humane Center located at 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue, is designed to increase awareness of homeless pets. Beginning on Friday, December 7, 2012, the Adopt-A-Thon included 50 puppies, 75 kittens and more than 100 cats and dogs. PAWS Chicago was founded in 1997 and is the Midwest’s largest non-profit, no kill humane organization.
