When you think of America’s happy seaside towns, it’s easy to conjure up images of waves lapping against shoreline rocks in Hawaii, Florida, the Bay Area, Lake Bluff.
Wait, Lake Bluff?
Yes, according to Coastal Living magazine, which is out with its list of the happiest seaside towns in the U.S. The rankings are in the magazine’s June issue and at coastalliving.com.
The list took into consideration editors’ picks, the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, number of sunny days, beach quality, low crime and more factors.
Here’s the top 10:
1. Kiawah Island, S.C.
2. Naples, Fla.
3. Sausalito, Calif.
4. Lake Bluff
5. Tiburon, Calif.
6. Laguna Beach, Calif.
7. Half Moon Bay, Calif.
8. Chatham, Mass.
9. Jupiter, Fla.
10. Lahaina, Hawaii
