Marilyn Monroe statue comes down

The 26-foot tall sculpture "Forever Marilyn" by American artist Seward Johnson began it's disassembly process Monday May 7, 2012 at Pioneer Court. The 40,000 pound sculpture will be loaded onto flatbed trucks Tuesday night and will make her way westward to a new location. | TOM CRUZE~Sun-Times

Crews began dismantling the 26-foot, 40,000-pound “Forever Marilyn” sculpture at Michigan Avenue and Pioneer Court on Monday night. The statue, by American artist Seward Johnson, is going to be shipped out of town on Tuesday.
