Over 400 seniors join forces with Occupy Chicago at Federal Plaza

More than 400 senior citizens and advocates for social services joined Occupy Chicago demonstrators to protest cuts to safety net programs. Ticketing followed the march. Judy Moses , 71 years old, is detained and ticketed with other members of the Jane Adams Senior Caucas, after closing down a major downtown intersection and refusing to leave. Seniors supported by demonstrators from Occupy Chicago marched and blocked the intersection of Jackson and Clark to protest cuts in Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. Many from the Jane Adams Caucus and others were detained by Chicago Police and ticketed at the scene for future court appearances.
