After a slow start, Josh McCown got better as the game went on and was at his best in the end. He was 19- of- 31 for 216 yards, 1 TD and 0 INTs for a 92.9 passer rating. His rating in the second half was 147.30
RUNNING BACKS (A)
After bad weather hit, the Bears turned to Matt Forte and he came through — 83 yards on 18 carries and a nifty run-after-catch for a 14-yard touchdown that gave the Bears the lead.
Brandon Marshall didn’t have a big day (4-42), but made a huge catch in the second half. Alshon Jeffery was superb again (7-83). Martellus Bennett also came through with a 43-yard catch in OT that set up the winning FG.
OFFENSIVE LINE (A)
Got the job done in inclement weather, as Josh McCown took two statistical sacks (for a total of one yard). Bears averaged 4.0 yards per carry (26-104). Again, tThe line had no false starts
DEFENSIVE LINE (A)
Julius Peppers had 2 sacks and 4 tackles-for-loss, but he had a lot of help. David Bass’ pick-6 tied the game. Cheta Ozougwu had a fourth-down sack. Corey Wootton batted down a pass to force a punt.
Rookie Jon Bostic had an interception that set up a Bears’ FG drive and added a TFL. James Anderson had eight tackles, including a TFL. Khaseem Greene had four tackles.
DEFENSIVE BACKS (A)
Conditions lent a helping hand, but whatever works. Joe Flacco had 162 passing yards. The Ravens’ longest pass play was 17 yards. Chris Conte made a big stop to force a FG.
SPECIAL TEAMS (A-)
Avoiding disaster in the conditions were was good enough. Robbie Gould made FGs from 20 and 46 yards and hit the game-winner from 38 in OT. Adam Podlesh had 2 punts inside the 20. The Ravens’ long longest return was 34 yards.
The Bears were the better team after a nearly two-hour weather delay. Still trying to figure out why Marc Trestman didn’t call TOs to save time at the end of regulation. But all his other decisions worked in the Bears’ favor.
