In celebration of Earth Day, students from St. Margaret Mary School, with U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), gathered at Touhy Avenue Beach in Chicago’s Far North Side Friday to release 110 rainbow trout the students hatched and raised in the classroom this year through a program called Trout in the Classroom. The students read read poems and sang songs written by their classmates, before releasing the fish into the lake.
