What should we call storm?

Updated: September 24, 2012 6:25AM

I’ve heard several names for this storm.

“Snowapalooza” sounds too fun. “SNOMG” doesn’t give you that sense of, “Wow! What a storm!”

I woke up in the middle of the night, and a name popped into my head as I heard the wind blowing. “Tsnownami 2011” has hit Chicago!

Why not announce the day before they would close Lake Shore Drive at a specific hour?

The amount of money that the city will spend on those private towing companies to clear it is sure to be in the seven digits.

Then add the time and resources wasted not plowing the streets as they worked on rescuing all those drivers and digging out their cars to tow them.

A snow-win situation

With all of the technological advances in weather forecasting, and communication, there was no reason for the mayhem that ensued during this latest blizzard.

Everybody knew it was coming, having been warned well in advance that vehicular transportation would be next to impossible during the height of the storm.
