JERUSALEM — The official Palestinian news agency says the body of a Palestinian has been found the morning after a violent clash with Israeli troops.
Wafa said the body was found on Thursday morning near a military post in the West Bank.
Protests turned violent late on Wednesday when Palestinians threw firebombs at soldiers who shot and killed one protester. The military said it’s investigating the shooting death.
It was the second consecutive day of protests. Demonstrations were across the Palestinian territory on Tuesday over the death of a Palestinian prisoner who died in an Israeli jail from cancer. The prisoner was serving a life sentence for a 2002 foiled bombing of a busy Jerusalem cafe.
More protests are expected after the funerals later in the day.
