British Columbia already gets $821M Olympics bonus: study
Chicago aimed to win the 2016 Olympics -- citing job creation and a storm of new dollars blowing into the Windy City.
Whether that would have really happened, we'll never know.
But a recent report on the 2010 Winter Olympics might pain Chicago boosters.
The Winter Games, which begin Feb. 12, has already helped create 22,000 jobs and injected as much as $821 million into the economy of British Columbia, a study by PricewaterhouseCoopers found.
"These results are just the beginning," Canadian Olympics official Mary McNeil said.
