Man shot during attempted robbery in Englewood

A man was shot early Thursday during an attempted robbery in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.
The 27-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in 7400 block of South Aberdeen Street about 12:45 a.m. when two males approached and attempted to rob him, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said. As the man tried to run away he was shot in the right buttock.
He was listed in good condition at Holy Cross Hospital, according to Alfaro.
No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
