Teen wounded in drive-by shooting on South Side

A teen boy was wounded in a drive-by shooting Wednesday night in the South Side Back-of-the-Yards neighborhood.
The 17-year-old boy was walking on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of South Wood Street about 10:40 p.m. when someone in a passing dark-colored sedan shot him, police said.
The boy was taken in good condition to Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound the right knee, police said.
No one is in custody.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
