Interactive map: Where speed cameras might go
There are 79 intersections in Chicago that already have red-light cameras and fall within an eighth of a mile of schools and parks -- making them possible sites that could be easily retrofitted with speed-camera equipment.
Two -- Fullerton and Cicero and 79th and Pulaski -- are among the 10 most crash-prone intersections citywide, according to Illinois Department of Transporation data. Most of the other crash-prone intersections are near potential speed-camera sites.
