Alaska's first dude speaks

September 4, 2008

Alaska’s first dude speaks: Todd Palin, the hunk husband of McCain veepmate Sarah Palin, spoke his first public words since his wife’s nomination at a tribute to John McCain’s wife, Cindy, this morning at the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis.

“Is it just me or do things move quick around here? Just a few nights ago I was on the North Slope working the night shift [in the oil fields], and here I am today,” said Palin.

He also stated: “When my wife starts talking about reform, corruption and making government work for the American people, it’s best to move out of the way.”

During the luncheon Cindy McCain stated it was refreshing to be on the campaign trail with Todd because she wouldn’t have to compare notes on what to wear.
