Motorcycle maintenance? The last will and testament of the city’s beloved former first lady Maggie Daley, which was dated shortly before her death, bequeaths everything to her hubby, former Mayor Richard M. Daley, which includes . . . “my automobiles, boats, motorcycles and other transportation vehicles.”

Motorcycles?

The Cutler Affair . . .

Baby bunting punting: Although a date hasn’t been picked for the intended nuptials of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and fiancee Kristin Cavallari — who are now in the family way, a source tells Sneed:

“It looks like Jay’s broken right thumb gave them time to really get to know each other; they are definitely planning on getting married, the baby will be born before the first Bears game in September, and don’t be surprised if his best buddy, Greg Olsen, is the best man.”

◆ Pigskin Postscript: Olsen was traded by the Chicago Bears to the Carolina Panthers in July 2011, just when Cutler was getting disengaged to Cavallari. They reunited in November. There ya go.

Cop shop . . .

Mayor Rahm Emanuel may have been ecstatic when Chicago had a day without one homicide last week, but . . .

◆ The kicker: There were 33 murders this year between Jan. 1 and Jan. 23.

◆ The shocker: Sneed has learned that’s a 74% increase from the same period last year, when there were 19 murders.

◆ The flip side: “The number of shooting incidents is flat in comparison to the same time period last year,” Top Cop Garry McCarthy tells Sneed. “Our focus is on reducing the number of shootings, and the murder numbers should follow over the long-term.”

Oprah opines . . .

Hmmm. Has Oprah Winfrey overstepped her mouth?

◆ To wit: In her zeal to get President Barack Obama re-elected, Oprah added these bon mots to a press report from her trip to India, where she felt Obama would win another four year term.

◆ Quoth Oprah: “I believe in him. I love him, I appreciate him . . . Of course you make mistakes.”

GABBY’S GIFT

And feel ’em: After pulling the plug on her congressional career, U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords met with a few of the survivors of the Tucson shooting melee, asked to see the head scar of fellow survivor Bill Badger, and stuck a silicone prayer bracelet in her pocket that Badger vowed to wear until he saw her face-to-face.

I Spy

Mayor Emanuel and wife,
Amy Rule, spotted at Buddy Guy’s Legends Saturday . . . U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald at Gibsons recently . . . ditto former Bull Scottie Pippen.

Sneedlings . . .

Today’s birthdays: Nastassja Kinski, 51; Mischa Barton, 26, and Dave Druker, 59.
