Two weeks late, President Barack Obama will get his wish to spend a night in his own bed in Kenwood.
Obama will be in town Friday night to raise about $3 million for his re-election campaign, with events at the Chicago Cultural Center and at two private homes.
Obama complained during last weekend’s NATO Summit that, “Despite being 15 minutes away from my house, nobody would let me go home. I was thinking I would be able to sleep in my own bed tonight. They said I would cause even worse traffic. So I ended up staying in a hotel even though I’m only 15 minutes from home.”
