Excerpts of Morphey's 'Good Morning America' interview

March 16, 2009

"Good Morning America" released excerpts of its interview of Thomas Morphey, stepbrother to Drew Peterson:

CHRIS CUOMO: The day before Stacey Peterson disappeared you remember Drew Peterson asking you odd questions.

THOMAS MORPHEY: He didn't tell me where - where we were going. He said simply, how much do you love me?

CHRIS CUOMO: He trusted you.

THOMAS MORPHY: He said, how much do you love me? I said, I do. And he said, enough to kill for me?

THOMAS MORPHY: Well, he, he had mentioned the storage locker

THOMAS MORPHEY: I knew it wasn't, it wasn't good. He was planning on killing somebody.

CHRIS CUOMO: You're confident of that

THOMAS MORPHEY: Absolutely positive of that.

CHRIS CUOMO: He said, can you live with knowing about a killing?

THOMAS MORPHEY: I was scared.

CHRIS CUOMO: This never happened.

CHRIS CUOMO: That's what he says to you?

THOMAS MORPHEY: Yeah.

THOMAS MORPHEY: Right.

CHRIS CUOMO: You thought that it was helping dispose of his wife.

THOMAS MORPHEY:Yes.

THOMAS MORPHY: You know, at that point, I was just - my God, what's goin' on?
