Frank Bank, 71, played Lumpy Rutherford on ‘Leave it to Beaver’

LOS ANGELES — Frank Bank, who played oafish troublemaker Lumpy on the sitcom “Leave It to Beaver,” has died. He was 71.
A spokesman for the Hillside Memorial Park in Los Angeles said Mr. Bank died Saturday.
Mr. Bank played Clarence “Lumpy” Rutherford on the sitcom, which ran from 1957 to 1963.
Bank reprised the role in the 1983 TV movie “Still the Beaver” and the follow-up series “The New Leave It to Beaver,” which ran from 1983 to 1989.
Mr. Bank made occasional appearances on TV before becoming a stockbroker. His clients included former “Leave it to Beaver” co-stars Jerry Mathers and Barbara Billingsley. AP
