KANKAKEE, Ill. (AP) — A 27-year-old man is in custody in connection with a 2012 shooting at a warehouse after being extradited from Mexico.
Kankakee County court officials say Rene Flores was arrested Sept. 23 on a warrant that preliminarily charges him with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm. He’s charged in the July 2012 shooting at a warehouse in Manteno (man-TEEN’-oh). The town is about 50 miles south of Chicago.
Court officials say Flores has not yet entered a plea. He is being held on $250,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
The shooting injured a warehouse employee who was shot four times with a .38-caliber revolver by a co-worker.
