CINCINNATI — A jury is expected to finish hearing testimony about a woman accused of helping her teenage daughter beat up a fellow student inside a Cincinnati high school classroom.

The woman’s daughter said Friday that she didn’t want to get into a fight with the other student. She testified that she hit the 15-year-old student because that girl hit her mother first.

The defendant, Precious Allen, is on trial for misdemeanor assault and trespassing. She is expected to testify in her own defense.

Authorities accuse Allen of punching, kicking and holding down the 15-year-old girl. Allen maintains that girl started the fight and had been bullying her daughter.

Allen’s charges each carry a maximum of six months in jail. She has pleaded not guilty.
