LOGANSPORT, Ind. — A northern Indiana prosecutor says a 7-year-old boy who was arrested after he allegedly punching his teacher in the nose won’t face any charges in that case.
Police filed a preliminary battery charge against the Logansport boy after his arrest for the Feb. 27 incident in which he allegedly punched his Franklin Elementary School kindergarten teacher in the nose. The boy was also suspended from the school about 75 miles north of Indianapolis.
But Cass County Prosecutor Kevin Enyeart says that after receiving a report on the incident he’s decided not to press charges against the youngster. He says “the school and the mother have reached an agreement on their own.”
The Pharos-Tribune reports the boy has a history of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism and other disorders.
