SHAWANO, Wis. — This crime fell right into the laps of authorities in Shawano County, Wis.
Police say a 17-year-old Gresham boy was at a residence in Shawano Saturday night and wanted to sell some drugs. The teen was given a phone number. He texted the potential buyer offering 42 pills of Tylenol with codeine in exchange for $120 and cigarettes.
But the person receiving the text was Stockbridge-Munsee Police Chief Jim Hoffman. He contacted Shawano County sheriff’s deputies, who worked with local police to set up a fake drug buy and the teen was arrested.
The teen is charged with drug possession with intent to deliver.
