Firefighters rescue 3 children from Madison roof

MADISON, Wis. — Three children were rescued from the roof of a burning duplex in Madison.
Firefighters arrived on the scene Wednesday night to find the three children on the garage roof screaming and smoke and flames coming from the duplex.
The fire crew put a ladder to the roof and helped the children to the ground. They also rescued a dog from the duplex.
The State Journal says the blaze apparently started in the kitchen.
