2 dead, 2 others wounded at drug lab

November 11, 2009

TUALATIN, Ore. -- Authorities say a woman was killed and two of her co-workers were injured when the woman's estranged husband opened fire Tuesday at a drug-testing laboratory in suburban Portland before turning the gun on himself.

The woman who was killed was identified as 36-year-old Teresa Marie Beiser of Gladstone. Police say her husband, 39-year-old Robert James Beiser, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Teresa Beiser worked at the Legacy MetroLab in an office park across from a strip mall in Tualatin (too-ALL-a-tin).

Tualatin Police Chief Kent Barker says the injured workers were a 20-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man.

He says the man was being treated at a Portland hospital for multiple gunshot wounds.

The 20-year-old woman was taken to another Portland hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It wasn't clear whether she'd been shot.
