Two men from northwest suburbs charged with beating sleepwalker
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Two suburban Chicago men have been charged with beating an Iowa man who sleepwalks after they found him asleep in the Iowa City apartment of a third accused man.
The victim, a 21-year-old man who police didn't identify, suffered injuries over most of his body, Iowa City Police Sgt. Troy Kelsay said. The victim's injuries didn't appear to require hospitalization, but he was taken to a hospital for treatment, he said.
Derryk Berger, 18, of Buffalo Grove; Kevin Lee, 21, of Northbrook, and Jonathan Chun, 20, of Iowa City were charged with willfully causing bodily injury, police said.
According to a criminal complaint, they found the man asleep in Chun's apartment early on Aug. 30. The man was staying across the hall, but did not live in the complex. AP
