MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Authorities have converged on a Montgomery home where they believe a suspect in a fatal weekend shooting at Auburn University may be located.
Montgomery Police spokeswoman Regina Duckett said during a televised news conference Monday that police received a credible tip that Desmonte Leonard is in the house. Duckett said they are trying to make contact but have not confirmed he’s in there.
Dozens of law enforcement vehicles were shown surrounding the house in television footage from a local station.
Authorities said Leonard was charged with three counts of capital murder in the Saturday night shooting during a pool party at University Heights apartments.
In all, three were killed and three wounded. The dead included two former Auburn football players.
