A Boston cat plunged 19 stories from a high-rise window — and lived to purr about it.

A veterinarian surmised that Sugar the cat splayed her legs in a “flying squirrel position” on her way down, slowing her descent and preventing serious injury.

Sugar had no broken bones or cuts, just some bruising on her lungs after the fall from a window that Brittany Kirk had opened to enjoy the recent warm weather.

The Animal Rescue League estimated that Sugar fell between 150 and 200 feet.

Kirk told WBZ-TV she thinks Sugar used up “one or two or maybe eight” of her nine lives.

She called Sugar’s survival a “miracle” and said building management had since installed a screen in her window. AP
