Updated: January 17, 2012 11:54AM

The co-founder of the Pinkberry yogurt chain has been arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of beating a homeless man with a tire iron in Los Angeles.

Police spokesman Bruce Borihanh says 47-year-old Young Lee was arrested by a joint police and FBI fugitive task force Monday afternoon as he arrived at the airport on a flight from South Korea.

He was arrested on a warrant for assault with a deadly weapon and remains jailed Tuesday on $60,000 bail.

Police Capt. Paul Vernon tells the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/14FEH ) that Lee is suspected of chasing down and beating a homeless man who approached him seeking money as he was stopped at a traffic light last June.

There’s no word on how badly the man was hurt.
